A Thai woman who refused a breathalyzer test for drunk driving had been heavily fined NTD 180,000, applied for installments after her bank account being frozen.

A Thai woman, who lives in Hualien County, had been fined NTD 180,000 for driving without license and refusing a breathalyzer test, according to the latest Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act.

Due to the overdue payment, the case was transferred to the Hualien Branch, Administrative Enforcement Agency, Ministry of Justice (Hualien Branch) by the Hualien Station, Taipei Motor Vehicles Office, Directorate General of Highways, MOTC.

After the bank account being frozen by the Hualien Branch, the Thai woman applied for payment in installment with her spouse as guarantor, the Hualien Branch approved her application yesterday (May 12, 2022).
